Design with Light - Student Design Competition
About Design with Light
Design with Light was started by the IES Philadelphia section to raise awareness and understanding of the lighting design profession within the student community. Each year the section seeks a professional sponsor who offers a project for the students to solve. The students are invited to solve a given design challenge with an original and innovative solution, and to express their solution through a presentation which then is judged by a panel of design professionals chosen by the section and the sponsor.
The first place design team receives $800 and certificates. Participating institutions will receive a selection of lighting education references. Winners receive complimentary dinners at the awards banquet.
The second place design team receives $400 and certificates. Participating institutions will receive a selection of lighting education references. The winners receive complimentary dinners at the IESNA Philadelphia section Awards Banquet.
