International Illumination Design Awards
The International Illumination Design Awards (IIDA) recognizes and publicizes good lighting designs. Not a contest, all entries into the program are judged against a standard by design professionals. Projects are considered at three levels:
- Good lighting is recognized by a Section Award. Award projects are reevaluated by a regional panel where
- Superior lighting will receive an Award of Merit. The best of these award projects are reviewed by an international panel, where
- Innovative lighting will receive an Award of Excellence
In addition, projects that combine good lighting while maximizing energy efficiency may be considered separately for an Energy Award. Projects may be submitted for either a lighting award, an energy award, or both.
Entering the program is easy. All that's needed is a CD with up to ten images describing your project and a maximum 250 word description of the work. Submit this with the entry form and the $25 entry fee and your project is on its way.
A wealth of help is available to assist you in presenting your work in the best possible light.
