Members of Distinction
Members who have given more than ordinary service to the Society, or who have distinguished themselves in the art and science of illumination, are recognized through the IESNA by recognition at the Sectional, Regional or Society level. Designation is made through the appropriate level.

The IESNA Fellow designation is awarded for valuable contribution to the technical activities of the Society, to the art and science of illumination or to the related scientific or engineering fields.

Section Service Award and Section Meritorious Service Award:
Presented in recognition of outstanding service to the Section, principally of a non-technical nature, that has significantly furthered the purpose of the Society. The Service award recognizes a minimum of five years of service; the Meritorious award a minimum of fifteen years of service.
